Learn to identify, grow, harvest and prepare well-known African medicinal plants β with safety, sustainability and respect for traditional knowledge at the centre.
Plants have been our medicine for thousands of years β and across Africa, that knowledge is still alive. This course introduces a selection of well-documented medicinal and nutritional plants, and teaches you to grow, harvest and prepare them safely. It is an educational guide, not medical advice.
Across five modules you will learn the foundations of safe herbal practice, meet key African plants such as moringa, baobab, hibiscus, aloe vera, neem, ginger and turmeric, and discover how to grow them sustainably, dry and store them, and prepare simple remedies like teas, infusions and soothing gels.
